A callus (tyloma) is an area of skin that thickens after exposure to repetitive forces in order to protect the skin. A callus may not be painful. When it becomes painful, medical treatment is required.
When a callus develops a mass of dead cells in its center, it becomes a corn (heloma). Corns generally occur on the toes and balls of the feet. Calluses occur on the feet, hands, and any other part of the skin where friction is present.
Factors outside the body that can cause calluses and corns from friction and stress:- Ill-fitting shoes or socks
- Bunching of socks or socks with seams by the toes
- Manual labor
- Not wearing shoes
- Activities that increase stress applied to the skin of the hands and feet, such as athletic events
Here, it's a NO-NO advise and one is not encourage to cut off the hard-skin from your sole as it will create visible lines at the back of your sole. Imagine some dirt got trap in between the lines created by the cutting... It won't look nice when you are wearing an open high heel. And, on the other hand, you are making your callus even harder when they grow again.
Thus, the best method which nails by YELLOW FOREST can provide you is to try our CND Sea Serum treatment.
This intensive A.H.A callus treatment from Creative Nail, with 20% marine alpha hydroxy acid complex, is a blend of unique and protective ingredients (including Aloe) that are specially designed to soothe sensitive skin. Creative Nail Spa Pedicure Sea Serum not only soothes and moisturizes your feet, but scrubs away old calluses .
1) Apply the Sea Serum onto the callus and sock it up for around 8 minutes, and
2) Gentle file the foot sole.
After this treatment, you should be able to feel some different in your callus as this serum does soften and scrub away the hard-skin on your sole. *of course, please do not expect an immediate miracle or complete recovery of your deep callus, a few treatments may be required.*
For best result of pretty feet, nails by YELLOW FOREST highly recommends a clinical ointment which you can apply on your callus/hard skin/dry skin at night and to wear a socks before bed. Wash it off when you wake up in the next morning with soap. This ointment is good for dry and peeling skin, and is suitable for hand use too (best with gloves after applying).
